Everything through this site is one-off by design. Each engagement has a defined scope, a written deliverable, and an end. Prices start from a published figure and are settled before we begin, because how much work an environment needs is not knowable from the outside. There is no retainer and no ongoing commitment, and I take no commission from any vendor, provider, or insurer.

The engagements fit small and growing Australian organisations, typically ten to two hundred people, running Microsoft 365, with day-to-day IT handled by an MSP or a small internal team. There are three ways in, and most people take them in order.

Whether your domain's email can be trusted, forged, or is quietly landing in spam, read from public DNS in a few minutes and explained in plain language. It costs nothing, it needs no access to anything, and it is the one part of your environment I can verify before we have spoken. If something is wrong, the fix is a fixed price. Read more

The questions on a cyber insurance proposal form are matters of fact about your environment, and the declaration you sign binds you to them. I start with the list of questions you cannot currently answer truthfully, turned around in days, and the Essential Eight assessment against the ACSC model is what closes them. Beyond the fixed-price engagements, I take on architecture reviews, infrastructure programme advice, technical due diligence for acquisitions or vendor changes, and fractional technical leadership for organisations that need senior perspective without a full-time hire. These are scoped individually.

Engagements through this site are deliberately limited. A few things I do not offer here, so the boundary is clear before we start.

I do not offer ongoing managed services, reactive support, or help desk through robswain.au. There is no monthly retainer for break-fix or general IT operations. If that is what you need, you need an MSP.

I do not act as the named IT provider for an organisation. Reviews and advisory work assume you have someone, in-house or external, responsible for day-to-day operations. The work I do sits alongside that, not in place of it.

I do not resell software, hardware, or licences, and I take no commission or referral fee from vendors. Recommendations in a report reflect what I think is right for your environment, not what pays me on the back end.
